Another must-have for attractor fly when fishing lakes, I use this fly on the top dropper on slightly sunnier days or in clear water situations.

The Blob doesn’t really have a whole lot of rhyme or reason as to why it's so effective, but it has saved the day for me in competitions time and time again. I like fishing it on the top dropper, either on a Di3 or any full sinking sweep line, and trailing a nymph in the middle dropper and a damsel on the point. An essential fly for any stockie bashing setup.

Mainly tied on the top or middle dropper as an attractor fly, the Blob is truly devastating for bringing in wild and stocked fish.
