Meet the Team
Jack Arnot
Jack began fly fishing around the age of 13, and it has taken him on an unexpected journey. Born in Vail, Colorado, Jack grew up surrounded by some of the best trout waters a kid could dream of. Learning to fly fish was a hobby at the time, but by pure chance, he became involved in the competitive fly fishing scene and enrolled in his first Team USA Youth Clinic in North Carolina. There, he was guided by experienced mentors who were among the world's best and genuinely cared about passing on their knowledge to the younger generation.
Jack had the opportunity to fish at the World Championships in Spain and also participated in the Vail World Championships for the youth team and numerous national fly fishing competitions. Through several clinics, he was introduced to the techniques and skills of euro nymphing, which allowed him to catch trout in any part of the world, regardless of the conditions.
Jack had the privilege of fishing under Paul Bourcq, the former coach of the USA Youth Team, which had brought together a talented group of anglers who won numerous world championship medals at the time. By 2016, Jack had already become the youth national champion, and in the following years, he won gold and silver team medals for Team USA Youth Team at the World Championships held in Vail and Spain. As of 2023, he is currently ranked 3rd in the nation and is a member of the Team USA Adult Fly Fishing Team. He has been apart of the adult worlds team for two consecutive years this year embarking to worlds in Slovakia.
In the summer of 2018, Jack kicked on his guiding career and found great joy in introducing people from all walks of life to the sport of fly fishing. Through this experience, he came to realize that fly fishing is more than just a passion—it's a sport that has the power to bring people together, regardless of their backgrounds. Teaching and practicing fly fishing is a continuous process, no matter what level of expertise one aims to achieve. Jack is also a part time instructor for the Youth USA Fly Fishing Team throughout the year helping coach the next generation of youth world champions.
Through his journey, Jack has also developed a deep appreciation for the preservation of our freshwater resources. He believes that it's crucial to protect these resources for future generations, ensuring that they can experience the same exceptional waters that he has fished throughout his lifetime.
Cam Chioffi
Cam was born in Fort Collins Colorado, however his family moved to Massachusetts where he was raised outside of Boston. Fishing was passed down to him from his dad and grandfather by the time he could walk. At the age of 14 he attended his first US Youth Fly Fishing Team Clinic in State College, PA where coaches such as George Daniels, Lance Wilt, and Loren Williams taught him the techniques that the most efficient anglers in the world use.
Cam was one of six selected from the United States to travel to Ireland for the Youth World Championships in 2013. After winning team and individual gold medals in his first world championships, the US Youth Team would go on to win two consecutive gold medals in the 2014 and 2015 championships, located in Nowy Targ Poland and Vail Colorado. Cam received a silver individual medal in Poland. Cam finished out his run with the US Youth Team in 2016 after winning a silver team medal in Galicia, Spain. He fished with the US Men’s team for two years before guiding and instructing took over as a new discipline.
His guiding career began in May of 2015 running float trips for Dan and Tom Harrison in his home state of Massachusetts. After a year guiding 150+ days on the water, he attended Colorado State University where he studied Natural Resource Tourism. While at college in Fort Collins, he mainly guided for trout within the Front Range. Much of his free time was spent exploring a variety of the multi-species fisheries all throughout Colorado and Wyoming. From Lake Trout at 10,000ft in the spring, to big Northern Pike in the fall, Cam finds himself rotating species of focus through out the year.
Fly Fishing is a dynamic sport and rewards dedication to the craft. You can’t be too young or too old to start. You never stop learning new things, and most importantly it never stops teaching you about other aspects of life. It is Cam’s mission to share his passion and knowledge for the sport, promote stewardship for our natural resources, and bring a fresh perspective to the sport of fly fishing. The best route to positive change in the world begins by uniting around a mutual connection to the earth, and thats exactly what we have with fly fishing.
