Another fly no lake angler should be left without. The Humongous has probably accounted for more fish on lakes for me than any other fly. Mainly tied with either silver or gold flash, I fish this pattern on intermediates, Di3, and Di5 lines for pulling.

This bug is best fished on overcast days or in deeper water where it can be challenging to get fish to eat on any dropper combination. Don’t be afraid to rip this back fairly fast, as it can produce strong takes from large fish.
